Purpose of Role:

The Equipment Engineering Team’s key responsibility is the upkeep of Operations production assets. You will assist the Equipment Engineering team in delivering a planned and responsive support service to Equipment.

Reporting Relationships:

Equipment Engineering Manager

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that effective preventative maintenance and breakdown assistance is performed on all process equipment so that it runs to maximum efficiency with minimal downtime
  • Contributes to sourcing and purchasing spare parts for equipment, gathering data and costings where appropriate to ensure the shortest possible machine outages
  • Writes reports and completes log books for all equipment modified to ensure traceability, on a what, where and when basis, and contributes to new and updated SOPs. Ensures All reports delivered in a timely manner and SOPs kept relevant and up to date
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
  • Provide back up for the Facilities Management team where necessary to ensure minimum downtime
  • Contribute to the generation of TPM standards and documentation within the Xaar production system

Key challenges:

  • Integrating into a fast paced, high technology manufacturing environment
  • Prioritising the workload to have minimal impact on production schedules
  • Gaining an understanding of a large number of different processing machinery to include chemical handling, ablation systems, bespoke automation cells
  • Embracing a changing working methodology within department, moving to mobile work order processing

Person Specification:

  • Technically competent and comfortable with being hands on
  • Confident working autonomously and using own initiative
  • Able to make decisions accordingly, plan own workload and prioritise appropriately
  • Ability to produce high quality work under pressure.
  • Clean driving licence
  • Possibly will be required to travel to attend specialist training courses to maintain and develop technical knowledge
  • Committed to an environment of continuous improvement.

Experience of:

 

  • A background as a Service / Maintenance Engineer. Multi-skilled with an electrical bias
  • Electronics qualified to HNC or HND or equivalent experience
  • Prior working knowledge of Optical equipment (working with industrial lasers would be an advantage)
  • Electrical/mechanical and PLC fault finding experience
  • PC Controlled automated equipment experience essential
  • Some facilities/production process background advantageous
  • Microsoft Office (Excel) experience
  • Computer Literate
  • Experience using CMMS and PPM of production equipment
  • TPM and OEE understanding
  • Vacuum Deposition systems equipment experience would be an advantage
  • Automated assembly and vision recognition systems would be an advantage
  • 6 axis robotic handling systems is desirable
  • Experience of working in a cleanroom and a Continuous Improvement environment.
  • Understanding of mobile work order processing and handling using tablet based system, is an advantage.

Purpose of Role:

We are looking for a highly proficient Financial Accountant to join the Corporate Accounts function. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the corporate compliance processes to ensure all financial reporting and tax deadlines are adhered to and all figures are provided in an accurate and timely manner. The role will be responsible for and supporting areas of corporate compliance and reporting, audit, tax, overseas entities and branches, equity and investor relations.

Reporting Relationships:

This role reports to the Corporate Reporting Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Corporate Reporting Manager in the completion of the group IFRS financial statements, interim report, and subsidiary FRS 101 annual financial statements, and audit process, including responsibility for accurate notes and disclosures, sections of the report, which will include liaising with the auditors, tax advisors and publishers
  • Responsibility within Corporate Accounts for group consolidation accounting and management of accounting standard changes, technical accounting papers, policies review, documentation and compliance
  • Month end responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the preparation of consolidated monthly accounts, including accounting adjustments, inputs for finance accruals and prepayments, reconciliations, lease accounting, and cash flow analysis
  • Corporation tax compliance responsibilities for group companies and branches globally globally (including US, Denmark, Hong Kong), including preparing supporting data inputs and reviewing tax computations
  • Statutory company filing requirements for group companies globally and branches globally
  • Equity and investor accountabilities; IFRS 2 accounting, share option registers, work with the brokers, registrars, trusts and HR for share option transactions, HMRC filings, dividend processing etc
  • Complete other finance tasks as required by the Corporate Accounts team as they arise and where required, to support the effective performance of the finance function
  • Work with the wider finance team on various areas across the finance function to achieve common goals and drive continuous improvement, including the audit process, budgeting process, intercompany accounting, compliance with accounting standards etc

  • Managing workload to support the achievement of key reporting deadlines

  • Effective communication, both written and verbal with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and self-review of work

  • Team player with a collaborative approach

Qualifications and experience:

  • Qualified Chartered accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a similar financial/corporate accounting role for a preferably international and listed company
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment
  • Tax experience would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Experience working in an R&D and/or manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
