Purpose of Role:

To ensure that Xaar import and export activities are conducted compliantly, through robust data administration relating to preferential / non preferential origin, tariff codes and import / export clearance. The role will manage the daily shipping activity of goods to Xaar customers, working closely with Sales Administration and Credit Control to meet business and customer expectations.

 

Reporting Relationships:

Distribution & Logistics Supervisor

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • UK import clearance (temporary & permanent)
  • Maintain HMRC compliant audit logs for imports and exports reconciling monthly with the MSS reports
  • Certificate of origin, EUR 1 & ATR applications via the Chamber of Commence
  • HS code and origin declarations (preferential & non preferential) and record keeping
  • Arrange collection and deliveries within appropriate forwarders and couriers.
  • Checking and authorising courier invoices.
  • Support Letter of Credit documentation presentations
  • Incoterm management for all purchase & sales orders
  • Trouble shoot any shipment or delivery related issues

Logistics Team, Finance Team, Sales Support, Materials Planning, Purchasing, RMA Team

 

 

Key Challenges:

Shipping conformance management and maintenance of records and documentation. Driving accuracy of ERP data for harmonised codes and country of origin. Liaising with stores Team, Materials Planning, Credit management to ensure on time shipment of product. Checking and authorisation of courier invoices, analysis of shipping spend and working with Purchasing Team to reduce shipping costs.

 

Person Specification:

  • Strong analytical skills (statistical analysis skills highly desirable) accurate and methodical with an eye for detail

  • Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision

Experience:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with global customs regulation and UK & US export controls.
  • Detailed knowledge of HMRC related formalities – both imports and exports:
    • Commodity Codes and tariff classification
    • Preferential Origin Calculations
    • Outward Processing Relief
    • Customs procedure codes
    • Importing & Exporting utilising trade agreements.

Purpose of Role:

Working with the Finance Manager and Finance Business partner to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger for the Printhead business unit. Driving improvements in the department and across the business, with the financial transactions done in an efficient and effective manner.

 

Reporting Relationships:

Finance Manager

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ownership of the accruals and prepayments schedule
  • Opex review – Monthly meetings with the budget holders to review the costs vs budget
  • Fixed Asset Register - additions, disposals, impairments, depreciation posting. Dealing with the various internal stakeholders in order to process the assets in the correct way
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations – posting journals, revaluations, monthly reconciliations with TB
  • Stock Revaluations and Provisions – monthly workings and journal posting
  • Overhead Allocations – monthly workings and journal posting
  • Support wider finance team as required, with key processes such as audit
  • Support the Printhead BU finance team in order to maintain process documentation (SOPs)
  • Lead process improvement projects
  • Adhoc tasks from the Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner
  • and any other duties commensurate with the level of the role

Experience:

  • General accounting experience
  • Experience using an ERP or accounting package
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Qualified/Part qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
