Purpose of Role:

  • This is a significant role within the organisation, ensuring that all activities, product and services are conducted in compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation amongst others,
  • To interface with all departments to ensure existing processes and special projects are in compliance with all UK , EU and Global / Local regulations. Work closely with various Engineering, site and Health and Safety teams and you will be required to assist with CE Marking assessment, certification and documentation management of new and existing products, prepare Technical Files required for various products, assist in COSHH management.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintaining an EH&S program involving hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, hazardous material/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, ISO and EH&S regulatory compliance.
  • The management of ISO14001 and ISO45001 and any other relevant accreditations needed for EHS.
  • To support the Quality systems team on system related issues

Reporting Relationships:

Multisite Health and Safety Manager

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides EH&S leadership, training and operational support to all levels of the organisation and across all functional groups.
  • Ensures all EH&S processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across UK manufacturing facilities and to make sure our international sites are all compliant.
  • Track company health and safety metrics and use the data to identify and to reduce risk.
  • Works closely with Engineering and Facilities on special projects involving plant construction, equipment design, and hazardous assessments.
  • Assists in all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause and approving the implementation of preventative actions
  • Ensures emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergency situations.
  • Maintains all UK, European and Global permits in current and valid condition.
  • Maintains Chemical Hazardous waste program including chemical area inspections.

Purpose of Role:

To execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and to deliver expert technical support in resolving equipment downtime events, all in support of minimising production downtime.

Working Hours:

Earlies: 6am-2.15pm (Monday - Thursday), 6am-1pm (Friday)

Lates: 2pm-10pm (Monday-Thursday), 12.45pm-8.45pm (Friday)

Maintenance Team Leader

Key Accountabilities:

  • To perform proactive Preventative Maintenance in accordance with PPM schedules
  • Respond to production downtime events, deploying effective problem solving methodologies to identify and resolve true root causes
  • Document and archive maintenance activities including both preventative and reactive to ensure knowledge retention and sharing
  • Use data to drive appropriate maintenance activities
  • Supporting purchasing / Equipment Engineering Coordinator teams in the sourcing and effective management of spare parts
  • Work cross-functionally to support company-wide issues or improvement projects, providing prompt, detailed progress updates to stakeholders.

    • Experience and knowledge in the upkeep and repair of Pneumatic, Mechanical & Electrical systems
    • Working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and associated metrics
    • Experience in working to and generating documentation including change management
    • Computer literate (MS Outlook, Excel, Teams etc.)
  • Desirable:
    • Working knowledge of statistical control methods
    • Programming and vision system optimisation
    • Optical / Laser systems experience
    • Pick and place systems
    • Knowledge of wirebonding tools / processes
    • Vacuum deposition systems
    • Six Sigma/Green Belt qualified would be advantageous

Working alternating shifts:

Early shift: Monday – Friday (5.45am - 2.15pm)

Late shift: Monday – Friday (1.45pm – 10.15pm)

Purpose of Role:

The role of a Team Leader is to train, lead, empower, coordinate and motivate a team to ensure continuity of output in line with agreed quality and performance targets. This is a working role so there is a requirement to work on the line whilst delivering that first line management support.

Shift Supervisor

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team ensuring that its members are fully skilled to meet their work objectives productively and safely.
  • To ensure that daily production and quality targets are met.
  • Undertake the responsibilities of a Production Operator when required to meet output.
  • Effectively managing both team and individual performance, addressing any issues as they arise, in line with HR policy. (e.g.  IDP’s, PPR’s, return to work, timesheets).
  • People issues/processes/equipment dealt with efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain and update production and quality performance indicators.
  • To effectively communicate and report on KPI’s to both direct team and Shift Supervisor.
  • To ensure that all operators within the team are fully trained on all processes using up to date SOPs. Along with ensuring Training Matrix is fully up to date.
  • With support from the Shift Supervisor, plan, co-ordinate and organise training and development for staff to ensure maximum flexibility.
  • To ensure that all process and equipment problems are communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
