Purpose of Role
The role is responsible for loading, validating, and maintaining engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and related product data within Xaars engineering platform Keytech. This ensures accurate, controlled, and up-to-date information is available for engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams.
Scale
Operate across multiple sites and functions. Primary interaction with Megnajet Ink Systems and transfer of knowledge / data to China team through accuracy of data upload.

Recommend ideas and develops plans for your own areas of responsibility with support from Engineering Function and Line Manager
Contribute to decisions regarding data upload, accuracy and efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities
- Load and maintain 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, BOMs, into Xaar Engineering / PLM systems.
- Validate engineering data for completeness, correct revision level, naming conventions, and manufacturability requirements.
- Ensure released data is production-ready and aligned with manufacturing standards and processes.
- Collaborate with design engineers to resolve missing, incorrect, or inconsistent CAD or drawing information.
- Support Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO) by updating system records and ensuring changes flow correctly to production.
- Maintain strict version control and ensure obsolete or superseded data is archived or restricted from use.
- Provide manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams with accurate product data, drawings, and documentation.
- Generate system reports, BOM extracts, and configuration summaries for production planning and procurement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data-loading workflows, templates, and system processes.
About you
Knowledge, experience and qualifications:
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and how engineering data flows into production.
- Experience with CAD file structures (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, CATIA, etc.).
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM/ERP systems used in manufacturing (Teamcenter, Windchill, SolidWorks PDM, SAP, IFS, etc.).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and basic manufacturing terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of revision control and configuration management.
- Effective communication skills for working with engineering, production, and supply chain teams.
- Experience in manufacturing document control or configuration management is an advantage.
Typical Background
Engineering technician, CAD technician, document controller, or manufacturing data administrator.
Vocational/technical qualifications in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or production engineering are beneficial.
