Purpose of Role
The primary purpose of this role is to follow established processes to develop, and optimise waveforms in response to defined inkjet application requirements for customer fluids; including the printing, and measurement of test samples generated with those waveforms. The role ensures that high‑quality, accurate test data is delivered to support customer projects, R&D activities, and production workflows.
The secondary purpose of the role is to support waveform development and validation activities for New Product Development and Operations, operate relevant test equipment and software in accordance with defined procedures, produce basic test documentation while contributing to process adherence and improvement, and provide customer support when required.

Reports to: Team Lead - Application Development
Line management responsibility: None
Key Accountabilities:
· Follow defined processes for preparing, printing, and measuring test samples.
· Safely operate print development and test equipment and software as instructed.
· Record results clearly and accurately in the required formats.
· Contribute to reliable delivery of test data as directed.
· Identify and communicate routine issues, escalating when required.
· Provide practical support to technicians and developers as necessary.
· Suggest modifications to processes when gaps are observed.
Key challenges:
· Setting up work with the most appropriate hardware for the application.
· Providing a logical approach to fault finding and issue resolution.
· Develop a core understanding of the fundamental operating principals of inkjet, drive electronics, ink systems and printing practices.
· Build an in depth understanding of waveform development and print performance interdependencies.
· Managing time and balancing requests, within a fast-moving environment.
· Generating high quality output; waveforms, samples and documents.

Experience of:
· STEM education at least to A-Level standard or equivalent (Essential)
· Good command of English (Essential)
· Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Essential)
· Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (Essential)
· Experience of the inkjet industry (Preferable)
· Experience of Safe Systems of Work (Preferable)
· Experience working in a laboratory environment (Preferable)
· Experience operating complex machinery (Preferable)
