Ceramics
Take your inkjet corrugate colour printing to the next level
Xaar’s ceramics printhead portfolio offers exceptional versatility in ceramic tile decoration, empowering manufacturers to replicate the look of natural materials and produce highly creative, distinctive tiles that stand out in a competitive market. The portfolio combines a unique set of technologies that deliver superior print quality and reliability.
Leading the range is Xaar’s 2002 printhead, incorporating advanced nozzle alignment features to provide greater reliability, improved resolution, and higher ink laydown. This results in enhanced colour density at production speeds, offering significant cost benefits.
Using Xaar’s high viscosity technology, the 2002 printhead can jet fluids at up to 720 dpi, or 360 dpi in dual-colour mode. Available in three variants, it is the most versatile printhead family for tile decoration today. Its ability to deliver high colour density at full production speeds – along with increased pigment loading – enables the use of lower costs inks without compromising quality.

Efficient Tile Printing with Smart Setup and Seamless Results
The Xaar 2002 gets rid of roller sleeves, so there's no physical changeover time between images. Set-up is handled by a smart print control software, cutting downtime and waste - perfect for short runs pr even one-off tiles. Its non-contact inkject technology means breakages are rare, slashing material costs. It prints beautifully on textured surfaces too, combining colour and texture for ultra-realistic, natural looking tiles. Plus, it prints right to the edge - no white borders, just a seamless, high-end finish.
"Now, thanks to our Ultra High Viscosity Technology, we can deliver the high print quality standards demanded while reducing the cost per print. In the past, this has not been possible.”
Neil Cook, Business Development Manager, inks at Xaar
Recognition You Can Trust
Xaar's portfolio delivers market-leading print quality, high productivity and high ink laydown to create ceramic toles that are differentiated from the competition.
The 2002 printhead uses TF Technology. Along with the unique Hybrid shooter architecture enables ink or other fluids in the printhead to flow at very high rates past the back of the nozzle during drop ejection. Therefore running costs are lower because downtime and ink wastage are reduced.
TF technology is a technically superior and unique solution that minimises temperature variation across the printhead as heat is removed directly from within the actuator channels virtually eliminating print density variations.
