Xaar opens new Asia pacific headquarters in Dongguan to strengthen regional support and innovation
Xaar has officially opened its new Asia Pacific (APAC) headquarters in Dongguan’s Songshan Lake Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, China, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued investment in the region. The new facility reinforces Xaar’s commitment to supporting OEM partners and customers across China and the wider Asia Pacific market.
The new headquarters brings together Sales and Technical Service functions, a dedicated Technology and Innovation Centre, manufacturing for ink delivery systems and printhead assembly, and advanced laboratories for ink and waveform development. By integrating these capabilities in a regional hub, Xaar has strengthened its ability to respond more quickly to customer requirements, accelerate product development and strengthen local collaboration with partners across the region.
The official opening ceremony brought together representatives from government and trade organisations, including the British Consulate and the UK Department for Business and Trade, alongside Chinese government officials and key customers from the ceramics, 3D printing, EV battery coating, and automotive glass printing sectors. Senior figures from Xaar included CEO, John Mills and COO, Graham Tweedale, reflecting the strategic importance of the new headquarters to Xaar’s long-term growth plans.
“Asia is central to the future of industrial inkjet and to our long-term growth strategy,” said John Mills. “Establishing our Asia Pacific Headquarters in Dongguan brings us closer to many of our customers and partners, enabling deeper collaboration and faster innovation.”
The decision to expand Xaar’s presence in Dongguan reflects the continued growth of industrial inkjet adoption across Asia, particularly in applications such as 3D printing, EV battery coating, PCB conformal coating, ceramic digital glaze, textiles and labels. Xaar’s core technologies, including Ultra High Viscosity, High Laydown and TF Technology, are playing an increasingly important role in enabling digital transformation across these industries.
The opening event saw guests touring the new facility, whilst meeting the regional team and exploring how Xaar’s technology and local capability can support future innovation and commercial growth.
John Mills concluded: “This investment strengthens our ability to support OEMs across the region with advanced inkjet technology, local expertise and integrated manufacturing capability. We are delighted to have welcomed our honoured guests for the official opening and now look forwards to combining our innovation, manufacturing excellence and close customer partnerships to drive the adoption of digital inkjet across so many industrial applications.”
