How to Apply

Stage1: Application

Have a look at our current opportunities to see if we’re advertising a suitable role. You will then need to complete a brief online application form and upload your CV and an optional covering letter.

You will receive an acknowledgment that your CV has been received. If we don’t feel that your skills and experience are a suitable match we’ll e-mail you to let to you know. Unfortunately given the volume of CVs we receive, we’re unable to provide specific feedback at this stage of the process.

Stage 2: Assessment

Our assessment process is designed to be fair and to give all candidates the best opportunity to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and potential. We also recognise that this is a two way process so we’ll always build in plenty of time for you to ask us questions as well.

Depending on the role you have applied for, we may invite you to an initial telephone interview. This will usually last about 1 hour and will be an opportunity to talk through your CV and discuss the skills and experience you have which are relevant to the role.

If successful at telephone interview, the next stage will be a face to face interview. This will generally be with members of the department you’d be joining and possibly someone from HR. As you’d expect from a technology company, the interviews will have a significant technical focus. However we place equal importance on understanding your personal attributes and the fit between your personal values and Xaar’s values of Trust, Collaboration and Drive.

If we think it would be useful for you to meet other team members or extend our discussions a little further, we will arrange for you to come back a second time.

You may also be asked to do some work-based tests, a presentation and/or complete a psychometric questionnaire in advance of an interview which will be de-briefed with a member of the HR team.

All candidates who are not successful following an interview at any stage will be provided with detailed feedback, usually within one week.

We are an equal opportunities employer. If you would like to submit your application in a different format and/or require reasonable adjustments at interview stage, please contact us so that we may discuss suitable alternatives.

We will keep in touch throughout the process. Alternatively, feel free to email us at and we’ll happily give you an update.

Our dress code is general office attire for employees not based in our cleanrooms; employees attending client sites will be expected to wear appropriate business dress for that client. Employees working in our cleanroom facilities will be provided with suitable protective clothing.

Stage 3: Job Offer

If we think you’ve demonstrated the right skills, knowledge, behaviours and values for the role, we will contact you to make an offer, talk you through our comprehensive reward offering and the on-boarding process.
