SID-ME Spring Meeting 2012

Each year the SID Mid Europe Chapter organises Spring and Autumn meetings which include scientific, technical and application specific presentations. These meetings attract professionals from the display sector from all over Europe.

This year lectures and poster sessions will cover technology. There will be a special break-out session covering the marketing aspects.

• Industrial applications of display technology (e.g. smart glass, …)
• Optical Display Integration Aspects: black panel, reflection reduction, ambient light performance
• Green Displays for Automotive Use: e-paper, power reduction strategies e.g. intelligent LED-backlight

 
Call for SID-ME Chapter Student Award

The SID-MEC Student Award is granted for an outstanding scientific or technical achievement in, or contribution to, research on information display. The award, which amounts to €1500, will be presented at the SID-MEC meeting and  the winner will present his/her contribution there. In addition, the winner’s conference fee will be waived. The applicant must be a student member at an institute in the SID-MEC region. Applications should be submitted to the award committee consisting presently of: Hans-Jürgen Lemp (Merck), Herbert De Smet (Ghent University), Norbert Fruehauf (University of Stuttgart).

Deadline for entry submission is February 29th, 2012
