Learning and development

We believe that the best way to learn and develop is through being given interesting and challenging work. You’ll therefore be given early responsibility but you’ll also be well supported by your manager and colleagues. As a new employee we’ll work with you and your manager to ensure that you have a comprehensive on-boarding plan. You’ll also be working alongside highly skilled and experienced colleagues and managers who will help you settle in and guide you.

We take development seriously and provide opportunities for technical training and financial support where appropriate for people taking relevant professional qualifications as well as more targeted development for individuals such as coaching and mentoring. We also deliver regular development workshops for our leaders and managers and invest time in identifying and helping develop the leaders of tomorrow.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We hold several charity fundraising events throughout the year and the company makes donations through the Xaar charities giving programme whereby employees nominate and vote on four charities to each receive a donation. Xaar has sponsored a number of employees and their families engaging in charity events throughout the year. Xaar also sponsors an Imagineering Foundation Club at a Huntingdon Primary School which introduces 8-16 year olds to the world of engineering and technology.

Re-location

We recognise that people with the talent we need won’t always live locally. We are therefore able to offer help and support, including financial assistance to help recruit people who join us and re-locate. The availability of financial assistance will depend on the role and its location.
