Xaar plc (“Xaar”), the inkjet printing technology group headquartered in Cambridge, and Impika SA (“Impika”) of Aubagne, France are pleased to announce a joint agreement for the provision of integration services for Xaar printheads and other products.

Under the agreement both parties will co-operate to provide complete turnkey solutions for clients wishing to use Xaar technology for their production processes, to open up new applications and create bespoke solutions. Impika has long experience with inkjet, including its application to the printing of plastic and smart cards, packaging, labelling as well as special applications for printing on CDs, glass and metal. Impika is also developing solutions based on its material jetting technology for microelectronics and biomedical applications.

Full commercial release of these products is anticipated later this year or early next year."
