Xaar plc’s ink partner, Intech Digital Technology Limited, has recently developed customised versions of its well known Blackjet Opal series for use with Xaar’s new ‘Hi-Res’ printheads. These pigmented solvent-based inks, after comprehensive testing are now available in CMYK, LM and LC colours and have been developed specifically for Xaar printhead customers in the PRC. 

The new Blackjet Opal inks are approved for use in the Xaar XJ128/360, the XJ126/300 and XJ500/360 dpi printheads. They bring the same, consistent performance to graphic art applications at the higher resolution as with the standard versions, but with ultra-sharp images. Properly matched to these high resolution heads, the finished product is giving outstanding results.

Intech Digital’s Managing Director, Adrian Peirse, adds  “After an extensive period of thorough testing and evaluation, Intech Digital has again met Xaar’s stringent standards in our Xaar-approved, Blackjet Opal (Hi-Res) inks.  Our ‘One System’ criteria for printhead and ink has again produced optimum performance for our Xaar OEM partners. To distinguish the new breed, our inks for the existing 200 dpi heads will be available under the Blackjet Opal ‘Lo-Res’ label”. The Blackjet Opal (Hi-Res) Inks are available from Intech Digital in newly-designed, easily distinguishable sizes, according to customers’ needs.
