Hymmen unveils the ‘Jupiter Digital Printing Line’ and opens the curtain for the Xaar 1001 printhead debut in the home décor market
… at Ligna in Hannover from 18 – 22nd May 2009 (Hall 27, Booth G19)

Hymmen, manufacturers of specialist production lines for home décor products, today launches the Jupiter Digital Printing Line at Ligna in Hannover.

This innovative “single pass” printing system features the Xaar 1001 printheads to image a variety of decorative effects and graphics directly onto the surface of the substrate. This is the first time the Xaar 1001 has been used for the industrial production of laminate flooring or furniture and is a further endorsement of Xaar’s inkjet technology. With the sideshooter printhead architecture and TF Technology™ a new standard for the industrial use of digital printing is defined.

The Hymmen Jupiter is a modular unit which can be integrated into existing printing/finishing lines. Flexible in design, the printing station can be scaled to any width allowing companies to integrate a digital printing solution to suit individual production needs. The Jupiter can handle a variety of materials, including paper, wood, stone and plastic and has the ability to handle flat and curved objects giving users the versatility to produce a variety of products. The superior ink handling and greyscale imaging capabilities of the Jupiter Digital Printing Line with the Xaar printhead ensure high quality results can be printed quickly, consistently and reliably within challenging manufacturing environments.

Digital printing brings many benefits to surface coating industries. Printing designs directly onto a variety of substrates, affordably and in very small batches, allows companies to open up new creative applications and markets.
